Will be going home in the coming weeks. Am going to work on getting out old garage into shape. Right now, it is something like Chet’s jalopy from the Hardy Boys books. I used to love those books not to long ago. Of course, our family was nowhere near that creaky machine. We have a Porsche. But I am talking about the situation in the garage. There are odds and ends just lying around the place. What we need is some cabinet and shelving work that can ensure that the stuff lying around is stored in a neat manner, freeing space on the garage floor. Sports racks would be another good idea. We had a step ladder for a good many years…but I guess it is no longer functional. So, here we are. In addition to many other things, I need to get a new step ladder. Anyone has any tips fro me, please feel free to send me come comments and advise.

Working on the Garage
May 22, 2008Washing dirty linen
May 19, 2008From the kitchen to the bathroom. As with the rest of the house, this area also needs a major revamp. Alongside adding a number of bathroom accessories, it also makes sense to get the walls redecorated. There is a thin line that divides neatness from efficiency. I have seen some really dream bathrooms both in magazines and in real life. We can only dream of such fixtures in our humble abode. But at the same time nothing like some fancy washbasins, shiny taps, and the works.
The Food Area is Where it is at
May 16, 2008
As I said, this post is going to be dedicated to the kitchen. After all, this is the place where we bachelors are going to cook our food. There is one major reason to revamp our kitchen – hygiene. Right now, things are in a state of disarray. There are utensils lying all over the platform. We are thinking of buying a washing machine too, and maybe a dishwasher. This can be placed either in the bathroom or the laundry. Thinking of buying a couple of canisters. These will be great space savers and will serve to get the kitchen more organized.
Back with a bang…but the house is dirty!!
May 14, 2008Hi there. Was out on business. Good to be back. But of course would have felt better if things were a little neater. We have been worrying about the inside of the house. But I was just thinking on my trip that there would be nothing better than having a drink outside staring up at the stars. So, now we are in the market for outdoor furniture. Will go in for some hammocks, or maybe a couple of easy chairs. Would have likes a swing…but there is not enough space. A few years down the line, I would definitely be moving into a bigger place. Then I guess I could purchase the swings. It would be great for kids, if I have any by them.
Simon is my name !
May 13, 2008Hi there folks. Its Simon here. I am Franklin’s roommate. This blog he created seems to have kicked off well. Franklin is now out of town on business, So, I thought that I would add some inputs to the blog. After all, this blog concerns all of us. It’s about our room. Wanna increase our knowledge of home furnishings. I have been here for quite some time and I guess I will be living in this room for a couple of years to come. So, I thought…why not make this room a comfortable place to live in. Don’t know about Frank, but I have got a lot of unused stuff in my corner of the house. Wouldn’t mind getting some bins, boxes, and crates. Saw some interesting boxes on the stacks and stacks website. You can check them out on this link. Guess we can trust these products and the company name ‘stacks and stacks’ says something about stacking things up. p>
